What is Conditional Cash Transfers?
The Conditional Cash Transfers supports the poor and vulnerable with N5,000 (Five Thousand Naira) per month, to improve consumption, with the aim of reducing poverty, preventing the vulnerable households from falling further down the poverty line and building their resilience to withstand shocks.

How does the Conditional Cash Transfers Programme Identify the Poor and Vulnerable
These is exactly how it works!
- The Scheme in Collaboration with World Bank uses a model known as the Community Based Targeting.
- Community Based Targeting is a model where members of an indigent Community identify what poverty means to them and who the Community considers the poorest households among them.
- The National Social Safety Nets Coordination office has over the years built up a National register of the poorest households using this method.
- It is from this National Social Register of poor and vulnerable households that the Conditional Cash Transfers Office Makes Payments to the Poorest Households in the Country.
