Trader Moni Empowerment Fund was initiated by Federal Government through Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI). Beneficiaries all over Nigeria have commended the Federal Government for introducing the program which saw each trader getting a loan of N10, 000 to boost their businesses. The major target of Trader Moni Empowerment Fund was to encourage petty traders across 36 states and boost their businesses.

Likewise Market Moni scheme: which targets market women, traders, artisans and enterprising youths. Farmer Moni Loan which assist farmer across the federation. The Trader Moni is a micro-credit scheme to cater for ultra-micro enterprises.

  • If you qualify, the Federal Government will send you a text message with a code you will dial to get the funds.

  2. Capture Details: The Agent will capture your details
  3. Text Message: If you qualify, the Federal Government will send you a text message with a code you will dial to get the funds.
  4. Pay back: through GTB, UBA, Ecobank, UnionBank, Stanbic, Sterling, Wema, Fidelity, Heritage, Jaiz.

Terms and Conditions for FG Trader Moni Empowerment Fund

The major aim is to provide loans to market women and traders, artisans, enterprising youths and small scale farmers and agric workers nationwide.

Loan Terms

  • Loan Tenor: 6 Months
  • Weekly repayment with a two week grace period
  • Administrative Fee of 2.5% (No other charges)

Requirements for FG Trader Moni Empowerment Fund

  1. Applicants must be a Nigerian
  2. Applicants must be 18 years and above
  3. Applicants must be a business owner or a trader
  4. Applicants must belong to a market cooperative union in your location
  5. Applicants must have a valid identification
  6. Applicants must have a valid BVN
  7. Applicants must have a valid SIM/phone number that is register with the service providers.

How TraderMoni works

The first stage you have access of N10,000 and pay back N10,250 to qualify for N15,000. Once you payback N15,375 you will qualify for N20,000 loan, when you pay back N21,000 you will get N50,000. All these stages have duration of six months interval to pay back.”
